This post is for my best friend Steve. This is us:
Right now we're hanging out in a practice room and he's playing piano so I thought I'd write about him. He can't read music but he's really good at playing songs by ear and learning them off the internet. Every time he plays a wrong note he yells "no!" It's adorable. Steve's basically my other half. He likes trees and sitting on benches and smoking cigarettes and lovely music and eating Indian food and driving around with the windows down. We spend most days at school outside together people watching. We're extremely unproductive together but that's the way I like it.
Sometimes we annoy each other excessively. We're both pretty stubborn and like to do things our own way but we somehow get along perfectly. Steve's not as mad as he looks in these pictures :) These were actually really happy nights. Even though Steve gets mad at me a lot I would hate life without him. I tell him everything, he's my go-to person. He's always there to listen to my nonsense problems that I blow way out of proportion. He's good at keeping my feet on the ground.
Most people think we've been friends for years but I didn't meet this loon until last August at the beginning of our sophomore year. Steve's the greatest person I've met at college so far. I don't think he understands that enough. He probably will once we graduate.
Steve also has a lovely blog I like reading especially when I need a pick-me-up. Enjoy Through the Underside of Leaves.
